Seeking therapy can be a stressful and frustrating process, especially in times of distress . If you are having trouble figuring out where to start, we've highlighted a few practical steps you can take to get the journey started. The process can look a little different for everyone depending on your health insurance provider and if you will be paying out-of-pocket. Select whichever applies to you.

  • Suzanne Bates - Serves as Assistant Professor of Counseling at Covenant Theological Seminary (CTS). Suzanne has provided care and counsel to individuals, couples and families of diverse populations including the incarcerated, immigrants and refugees. Email her church on the bottom to get her contact information.

  • Jeanie Chang - Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the Founder of Your Change Provider, PLLC, a therapeutic practice founded on solutions and Cultural Confidence® in promoting good mental health and wellness.

  • Alicia Cherian - Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MA - LMFT). She also specializes in counseling for racial trauma and immigrant experiences.

  • Kimberley Ince - Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) located in Takoma Park, MD.

  • Alice Kim - Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) located in Reston, VA.

  • Heart Song Counseling - Christian counselors with degrees in Christian counseling. They don’t prescribe medication. Most serve in the DMV area (Baltimore, NoVa, DC).

  • Global Counseling Network - Affiliated with Covenant Theological Seminary – Zoom only. A lot of counselors to choose from. May not always accept insurance.

  • PATH Through the Wilderness - This group counseling program is helpful for those wrestling with sexual brokenness. Many folks from our church have gone through it and cohorts start in the fall. The price is much cheaper than one-on-one counseling but you have to pay it all upfront. Check the website for when signups are available.
